AMERICAN TRIBUTE RIDE TRAVELING IN NEW DIRECTION

The 2017 American Tribute Ride (ATR) will take a new direction this year in that it will start at the Wisconsin State Firefighters Memorial Park in Wisconsin Rapids. There is a huge water ski show in Wisconsin Rapids this particular weekend and hotel rooms are limited. At this time we are finding rooms are available in Stevens Point, Plover, and Plainfield.

The ATR committee decided that we would take different approach as this is our 14th annual ride through scenic Wisconsin. We are making a short rest stop at Coloma Fire Department and then we travel to Endeavor Fire Station for lunch. Unfortunately in early 2016 Endeavor-Moundville Fire Department suffered a tragic Line of Duty Death. We will take time when we are at the station to remember Larry Millard.

The committee is still looking for a stop between Endeavor and Theresa. Theresa Fire Department has agreed to be our final stop host at the Theresa Firemen’s Park on WI-28.
Some of the entities the ATR committee is looking to support with the 2017 fund raising ride will be the Wisconsin State Firefighters Memorial, Concerns of Police Survivors, Badger Honor Flights, and Wisconsin Burn Survivors Camp.

Registration forms will be available shortly, watch your e-mails, our website [www.americantributeride.com] or our Facebook page [American Tribute Ride] or contacting Ron Naab at rjnaab@frontier.com.

As this newsletter is being written we are learning of the tragic death of a brother in blue dying as a result of a Domestic Violence call. Our prayers and thoughts go out to the family of the officer and along with those members of the Everest Metro Police Department.
