The American Tribute Ride is committed to support those organizations/agencies that support our first responders. Our first responders include firefighters, EMS, law enforcement and military. There are many organizations that are supportive. We have chosen the following to benefit from the proceeds of the 2020 American Tribute Ride to many entities.
We presented a check to President Jo Ann Mignon of the Wisconsin Chapter of Concerns of Police Survivors in the amount of $1,500.00. This group supports families that have lost a loved one in the Line of Duty.
We were honored to support the Badger Honor Flights group with check a Jim Bublitz for $2000.00. Badger Honor Flights is out of the Madison area and supports veterans in southwestern Wisconsin. We also presented a check to Jennifer Kiefer of the Fischer House-Wisconsin in the amount of $1,000.00 (This is a housing facility built at the Zablocki Medical Center in Milwaukee for families of veterans that may be hospitalized for extended period of time.) The other significant donation made was $1,800.00 to the PFFW-CF Wisconsin Summer Camp for Burned Injured Youth, represented by Executive Director Mike Wos.
The committee is going to make presentations to the following Wisconsin State Firefighters Memorial will receive $1,500.00; the intent of this donation is to support the expansion the EMS memorial section at the park this upcoming summer. Camp American Legion will receive $1,300.00; this is a campground for disabled veterans and their families to visit during the summer. In all the proceeds from the 2020 ATR was $9,100.00 which has been or will be donated.
Ron Naab, Chair of the American Tribute Ride, has announced that the 2021 American Tribute Ride, scheduled for July 24th has four stops lined up. The ride will start at Eden Fire Department; move on to Mount Calvary for lunch, then to Glenbeulah for a rest stop, next to Town of Sheboygan Fire Department. The committee is working on confirming and end stop with one other fire department. Which we hope will be confirmed shortly after the First of the Year.
