The 2016 American Tribute Ride is dedicated to remembering those that have served and continue to serve. Those people may have been in the military, fire or ems services, or law enforcement. Each and every one is a special kind of hero deserving recognition.

So far this year we will dedicate the ride to the following individuals that passed away serving our country—Lawrence Millard of the Endeavor Fire Department, Air Force Airman Quinn Johnson-Harris, in Afghanistan, and Officer Ryan Copeland., McFarland Police Department.

The committee has been busy working on details to make this a memorable event for all involved. It is the committee’s goal to have participants from all agencies dedicated to protecting and serving our communities and our country. Special participants of the ride will be some veterans that will travel in vans as we go from stop to stop.

The date for the American Tribute Ride is Saturday, July 23, 2016. It will start at Open Road Harley Davidson in Fond du Lac and travel to Green Lake Fire Station, onto Neshkoro Fire Department and ending at King Veterans Center [outside of Waupaca]. A donation of $25.00 for single bike and $35.00 for a two up will help with the event expenses and fund raising. Money this year will be given to the Wisconsin State Firefighters Memorial, Wisconsin Burn Survivors Camp, Old Glory Honor Flights, Wisconsin Veterans Assistance Program at King, and Concerns Of Police Survivors.

New this year will be a special evening meal offered to those that register before the ride. The meal will be catered by Schluetter’s of Waupaca and will include broasted chicken with all the fixings and DESSERT! The cost is $10.00 per person and needs to be paid for in advance.

Those wishing to pre-register can SAVE MONEY by contacting Ron Naab [chair] at 262-629-9749 or rjnaab@frontier.com. Pre-registration can also be done by going on-line at www.americantributeride.com.
